ABOUT CANINE CONFIDENCE CLUB
At Canine Confidence Club, our goal is to create a service that promotes ethical, compassionate and modern training for all dogs. We believe that no dog, big or small, needs or deserves a heavy hand and are dedicated to helping guardians connect with their dogs as indivuals.
ABOUT THE TRAINER
Áine (awn-yah)
Like many other professionals, Áine found her way to canine behaviour through a reactive dog of her own. Since bringing Hector home in 2020, her entire life has changed.
Áine has been working hands on with reactive dogs since March 2022 when she set up Walking Wonders - a dog walking service specifically for reactive dogs. Since then she has studied continuously with School of Canine Science, Canine Principles, Fenzi Dog Sports Academy and the Grisha Stewart Academy to develop a diverse, science-based skillset.

In the course of running Walking Wonders, Áine found herself offering more extensive services including muzzle training, management plans, vet visits and basic training. Canine Confidence Club was created to reflect this.
ABOUT HECTOR
Originally from Ireland, Hector, a greyhound bully mix, was adopted from Dogs Trust Manchester by Áine and brought home to Liverpool in 2020. By then he was on his third home, and had had two stints in the shelter.

Due to past trauma, and up until recently undiagnosed pain, Hector is anxious, troubled by change and very frightened of all other dogs. Since 2020 Áine has been working with Hector on his reactivity to dogs, his general anxiety and on improving his general well-being.

Now 9 years old, Hector is dealing with big changes with more resilience than ever before. With his recent diagonsis of hip dyplasia, the old dog is having to learn to use his body in new ways, improve his proprioception and put more trust in his guardians than ever before.
